The TickerIMG has signed Vera Zvonareva.

The TickerKim Clijsters is training with Belgium's Fed Cup team ahead of its tie against Canada this week, but Belgian captain Sabine Appelmans said there is no chance of Clijsters actually taking part in the tie."With Kim Clijsters, we have the best practice partner that could exist," said Applemans. "But if Kirsten Flipkens should not be able to play [because of illness], Kim will certainly not be the replacement. Plus she has not played a single competitive match since announcing her return."

Former world No. 1 Clijsters is scheduled to play an exhibition at Wimbledon in May and plans to return to the WTA Tour in August.

The TickerJennifer Capriati is taking part in ABC's upcoming series, "The Superstars." The remake of the 1970s show pairs athletes with celebrities and pits the two-person teams against each other in various athletic competitions.

Capriati will pair with former Baywatch star David Charvet in the six-episode series, which beings airing at the end of June.

Other athletes participating include the NFL's Terrell Owens, former WNBA player Lisa Leslie and Olympic skier Bode Miller.

The TickerJelena Dokic on her form heading into this weekend's Fed Cup tie against Switzerland: "I've been in pretty bad shape physically but I'm getting there. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season... This is pretty much my last shot at it and I think I've started very well, so we'll see how far I can go."

The TickerLleyton Hewitt's manager has confirmed that Hewitt will take part in the India-Australia Davis Cup tie in Chennai next month. "Lleyton has been committed to playing this tie since it was announced and certainly has not placed any claycourt plans ahead of his participation," David Drysdale told the Melbourne Herald Sun.

Tennis Australia is appealing the ITF's decision to approve Chennai as the location of the tie, citing security concerns.
