The TickerAfter reaching the semifinals of the Grand Cayman Legends Championships on the seniors Outback Tour, Mark Philippoussis says he is continues to aim for a return to the ATP tour. "My ambition still is to get back on the tour," said the the 32-year-old. "It's been tough with my injury because I have been unable to get fit enough to play competitive tennis."

Philippoussis , who is taking part in his third seniors event, has not played on the main tour since injuring his knee at the Hopman Cup in 2007.

The TickerJelena Dokic has pulled out of next week's challenger in Johannesburg.

The TickerNalbandian has withdrawn from Barcelona ahead of his quarterfinal against Rafael Nadal with an inflamed hip.

The tournament doctor said Nalbandian began feeling pain during his round of 16 match on Thursday though the Argentine, as is his habit, did not mention the injury after the match.

In their meeting at Indian Wells last month, Nalbandian led Nadal 6-3, 5-3 and had five match points in the second set, but eventually lost the memorable encounter 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-0.

The TickerAn update from the Russian tennis federation says Vera Zvonareva could be out anywhere between two weeks and three months with torn ligaments in her ankle. Zvonareva suffered the mid–match injury in Charleston and will stay in Moscow for treatment.
