The TickerJuan Martin del Potro, on reaching a career-high No. 5: "It's good for me, for my future. But I don't want to be [No.] 5, I want to be better."

The TickerJuan Martin del Potro, on how he felt playing the semifinals after going three hours against Rafael Nadal a day earlier: "So tired. Last night I was with the match in my mind. I cannot sleep very well. Today I run a lot again, and I don't feel good with my physical. But I feel happy. I feel confidence with my game and I did a great tournament, so I go home with a good week."

The TickerAndy Murray will meet Novak Djokovic in the final of Miami after withstanding a second-set charge from Juan Martin del Potro to win 6-1, 5-7, 6-2. Djokovic cannot lose his No. 3 ranking to Murray even if Murray wins the title.

The TickerHaving already parted ways with his trainer, Richard Gasquet has also stopped working with his regular osteopath. L'Equipe reports there were disagreements over the treatment of the right shoulder injury that kept Gasquet out of Miami.
Gasquet's coach, Guillaume Peyre, also told the paper that he was trying to reduce his pupil's entourage. "I wanted to strengthen the bond between player and coach," he said. "Richard is only No. 25 in the world and he has too many people around him. The more people, the more state of minds to manage."

The TickerPost-match comments from Novak Djokovic: "We kind of changed the roles. I think, yeah, on 3-2 second set [when Djokovic broke for a 4-2 lead], it was a key game... He played really solid in the first set, but then he started to make a big amount of the unforced errors from that side. So I tried to change pace and play fast and, then play a bit slower with the more spin.

"So more variety, I can say, because he usually expects a ball on the backhand side, because that's where the players try to him. But, you know, that's [what] I think my game was all about today, was I'm not giving him any consistency in one side so he can really be comfortable there. So I think I played well."

The TickerPost-match comments from Roger Federer: "I finished worse than him. He played so bad in the first set, I had a great effort by finishing even worse than him... thank God the hardcourt season is over."

The TickerNovak Djokovic has reached the Miami final after defeating Roger Federer 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Fortunes changed completely after the first set, with Djokovic finding some solid form after a shaky start.

Federer, meanwhile, slowly disintegrated after going up 5-1 to begin the match. Thirty-seven of the Swiss' 47 unforced errors came in the last two sets, 29 in all off the forehand wing. At 2-0 down in the third set, he smashed his racquet, receiving a warning from the chair. He did not shake the umpire's hand at the end.
